Show your bull(s) - Put a pic up

Help Support CattleToday:

This is a new Simbrah we acquired last September. 71lb BW, 772lb WW and 1376lb YW. Really like his EPD's and cannot wait for his first calves.

Nice one, Insurman. Did you get him from Justin Hall? He has some solid Flecks on his facebook page.

Fire Sweep I'd rather buy from people who have the set to post photos on a forum than a glossy catalogue. Some of these registered breeders are so far out there they have no idea what works and what the commercial cattlemen want.

Thanks..he is from Smith Genetics in Giddings. He does not have any Fleck in him.

Thanks everyone for keeping this thread going looking good everyone keep on posting...

M.Magis I use to have a bunch of sim angus cattle but now mostly angus and am hoping to one day add a nice sim bull to the equation .

Here are photos of our two mature Murray Grey bulls, BB Uncle Tony and OK Buford. We also have a yearling that we are bringing on to use over heifers and as a back-up bull after we sell Buford.
BB Uncle Tony- He is our primary herd sire and is a 5 year old. He is siring some of the best calves that we have ever had. We collected him about 18 months ago, so we will be able to AI to him in the future.

OK Buford- He too is a 5 year old and is a half brother to Tony. He is our current back-up bull.

As our herd grows, we will eventually split them into two breeding groups, so we will need to have two mature bulls and a back-up bull on the place. We will be breeding a little over 30 cows this year, so we will AI a handful and use Tony to breed the rest. Next year, we will likely need to split the herd into two groups because we will be breeding right around 40 head.

Wow! Congratulations, they are spectacular. Angus really screwed the pooch mixing with Holstein for more milk and frame. Some of the expensive breeding stock that has been imported here produce dairy butts on everything they touch. Genetically your cattle are probably closer to Original Population Angus than what we use.

I think your primary herdsire and your backup bull should switch roles....

Our NZ Murray Grey herd sire Kiradie Steamroller age 3 and half years

Both of them dudes really grew up last year! I'll peg that on the rain grass and genetics.
