A nice black baldy bull calf, born in April and is going to his new home with five cows waiting for him.

A bit young to be turned out with cows. Nice calf.
Thank you! I agree he's too young at this moment but he will be ready for these girls next summer. He lost his ear tips when his mom thinks it's a good idea to have a calf in middle of the snowstorm at night but I rescued him and warm him up in the house.

He is a real meat wagon. What is the Simmental pedigree in him?

thanks, i'm pretty pleased with how he developed. simm side goes back to lfe viper, but to be honest he gets alot of that thickness from the angus side as well. his ASA # is 3470464

this is him at breeding pasture

this is his maternal brother to sell this spring

K3 - no doubt!! You don't often get that kind of muscling just from one side of the mating. Are the calves in the picture out of him? All look good.

Ahhh - Canada - thank you for posting that. Yes, you guys do have heavier muscled cattle, bigger framed that most of us down South of the border. I am trying to improve on that.
Since "down-sizing", I have not been able to get those heavy WW's that I desire. I know I lost 50#. But, we used to have 7-8.5 frame calves, now more like 5 -6.5. I want to keep the legs cut off, but put more meat. Used to have a 725# average WW - heifers, steers, & bull average. Not now.
