Yup, he will nicely take a marrow bone from my hand (and then go hide it somewhere).. I give him food and just drop it on the ground by my feet and he'll eat it..

I am not a huge dog person, especially shepherds but I got to say that is one of the better looking ones I have ever seen. He has got as kind a face as a fella could want. He would be a hard dog to get rid of.

Parents went for a walk around the farm with him today, he was happy for that, even got a bit of the zoomies and wanted to play apparently!

Y'know, every now and then we just have to assume that the plans are bigger than us. I hate cats, always have, but I've saved one or two when the next day or three would have killed them. They turned out okay. Miles of wilderness, he found y'all. Take the love and love having it, nobody will ever see you like a good dog will.

That makes it sound like maybe he was dropped off and he's hoping his previous owner will come back for him. That is so heartbreaking. I hope he finds what he needs at your place and settles in to become a wonderful family dog for you.

This is a guarding breed. Its their nature to check out anything different, check for intruders. I think he knows your truck sound and is coming to greet you.

Forcing him into a truck ride too soon would destroy the fragile trust that has been made. Would you want to return a dog to someone who dumped him? How would you know if they dumped him or not?
