The people I admire the most are the hard working, down to earth, honest, ethical, moral people that are few and far between these days. Bank acct size, degrees, don't mean sqaut when your dead

Question: Would a jury find you not guilty if you killed me (I'm unarmed) for walking across your property? I'm serious as I don't really know the answer.Kathie in Thorp":2fy0wgk7 said:Highgrit -- My greens were/are older . . . . . JD 'G' X 2, JD 'R' X 2; 420-U (kept that one), 'A'; and 'AR'. Somewhere, some time, some one will teach him some manners. As for me, hope he doesn't ask for any help.
And BTW, I've worked in the legal field, doing more paralegal work than sec. stuff, since before MH was born; have potty-trained many young, thought-they-had-it-by-the-balls attorneys fresh out of school, in both Fed and state prosecutor offices. So, MF, don't presume your dream-world about property rights, self-protection rights -- the old codgers are way far ahead of you on this. And recently, the US Supreme Court has affirmed the gun rights. The "trespasser" issues are state court stuff.

Anyone that would shoot someone just because they were walking across their pasture should spend a few years in prison and never be allowed to legally own guns again. If they felt the tresspasser was a real threat then that's a different story. Not something I'd take a chance on, either, but then I have more respect for other people's property than some do.
