Oh, Lordy! Even vegan dog food? With the current trend in the administration and activist ramping up their campaigns, not just the future of the beef industry is at stake, but all animal Ag.
Just throwing this out from the Angus Beef Bulletin Extra:
The commercial cattleman's Angus connection

I read the bulletin's report. The activists engage in "begging the question:" which is to make a dubious statement of fact as a predicate to a query or the foundation of another statement. In my area of Alabama, open pasture is increasingly planted in pines as fewer people care to farm. I don't think it has had much effect, but I hope it has.
I agree with the assessment that they use specious claims when their motive is to eliminate meat. That's hardly new, ancient Buddhists and Jains in India and certain ancient Greeks practiced vegetarian diets. What is new is the ease of communication. I have no problem with them until they have a problem with me.
Like most farmers, I am a steward of my land and wouldn't think of harming the environment and leaving a problem for future generations. I believe we are experiencing a climate change that is at least partially created by humans and there are steps we can take to mitigate the damage. I don't think cow farts are the big problem, though.
Also, how do you support your statement against the current administration? Are there specific actions that you can point out?
As far as ag production being a criminal cabal, the major chicken corporations just took a huge loss in court for conspiring against the producers and it appears there are attempts to pursue similar litigation in the cattle industry. I know that I never see a difference at the stockyard when I pay increasingly more for the steaks I buy at the grocer.
But, yeah, these folks are crackpots and that's coming from a shameless liberal!
Hope you have a great day
