Mama milk or Replacer

So I've got a 3rd one.
Planned on trying to put him on Bessie with the other 2. Got him in the pen with her while she was eating, and she was willing. Calf just wasnt interested tonight. He came right off his original mother. Had poops already this evening. So I know hes been eating. Normal number 2. No scours.

So whatcha think?

you would be the best person to answer your own question. is she a good milking Holstein cow that could feed a dozen calves or an old broken mouth cow with a long history of poor performing calves? a little creep feed after they get a couple weeks old could make a big difference.

I can apparently grow a tiny orphan calf. No advice. I'm curious, did she look different than other calves you have raised on the bottle? Or did she just not grow?

Bessie Mae is doing a great job... just feed her good for the extra production... and creep the calves when they start to show interest so she does not get too thin trying to feed them.....

Our other bottle calves got huge. Chevy has been growing just at extremely slow speed. Our newest calf is about her same size. We had another cow do this in the past than she hit a growth spurt. Hopefully Chevy will soon. She is a good cow. I tried to get a selfie with her but she was to busy doing cow stuff.
