Just read a report saying they are finding people don't become immune after having the virus, immunity seems to be lasting around 4 months or less. I hope that isn't the case. Seems a vaccine is looking less and less likely.

You don't become immune to the flu either as it mutates. But people are comforted by a flu shot that is semi effective on 4 out of 10 people.
It's not a vaccine and highly doubtful there will be a vaccine against Covid.
It will simply become not newsworthy like the flu and fade away.
The takeaway I got from this is how Hitler got people on rail cars. I never thought I would see Americans in blind compliance. You can't get repeatable data or information from any source, this whole situation has been a campaign of misinformation.

Hey, get off the civil war crap..... yes this is a virus, yes there are some serious cases, many immune compromised are getting sick and dying. I think alot of it is also being played....
There is another Texas Dr....Dr Brian Proctor in McKinney Tx that has just put out a video about his treatments , and his complete success rate and his feelings on the whole situation.... as well as what we are doing to ourselves with the masks and lowering out own immune systems.... There was a woman dr about a month or 2 ago that said basically the very same thing... I can tell you that if I should get the symptoms, and the drs here refuse to put me on the hydroxy and z-pack as well as adding in zinc and vit c, I will be on my way to one of these drs in Tx for some common sense treatments.
Was in the bank today for a notary witness signature.... no masks, no hysterical wiping down everything every second.... she has a friend whose mother was tested positive 6 weeks ago. Has had 4 tests since, positive every time... Not one symptom... can't go back to work, can't do anything, and can't get a neg test. She has been counted every time as a new positive test....
No one will consider testing any farmers to see if they have anti-bodies from passive immunity from handling cattle and cattle vaccines. Post on USA Today about Zoetis has said people should not take the cattle vaccine.... DUH .... but it is in the same family of corona viruses but a different lineage....
Milk maids didn't get small pox if they had been handling cows that had cow pox. PooPooed for years, until one man heard a milkmaid say she wouldn't get small pox because she had gotten cowpox.... the first vaccine for small pox was from cowpox... same family different strain.... that's all in the herpes complex.... shingles vaccine.... that most people get a case from as it is not a true vaccine like say the tetanus vaccine.....
There needs to be more common sense, use drugs like hydroxy from the start before it gets bad, in over 50 yrs of use, the number of heart problems are small and it sure beats not taking it and winding on a vent in a hosp....
And we need to get back to our lives as there will always be deaths from viruses and yes, immune compromised people are at greater risk.

My cousin is a General Manager of a large auto dealership. One mechanic caught the Coronavirus , the other 51 mechanics did not catch it, and they tested negative. Makes zero sense. I thought it was super contagious.

They were probably busy and had gloves etc and washed hands....if the cook in the kitche n at the staff canteen had it and was coughing on food, diff story.....

I just found out this morning I have it. Kind of like a mild flu that drug on a bit. There was a 36 hour period were I didn't want to do anything, but almost back to normal now. Was with the family on the 4th so am concerned about my parents.

I'll be honest I don't vaccinate my cattle often. But I do vaccinate my kid!

I personally think the reason why its not working in the US Is because many citizens cannot be inconvenienced to do even a minor thing to protect their neighbours. It is a system that has been founded on individualism over collectivism. We could start a full thousand page blog on the comments ive read on here with "not my tax dollars". I will be called a socialist for this I am sure but its not socialism. It has also shown the strengths and the weaknesses of the private health care system. In Canada all our clinics, hospitals, doctors are used to follow government protocol. Doesn't work like that in a private health care system. Can citizens get better care in a normal situation, usually, but wow did it show its flaws. Not only in the way the system is designed but also the false sense of security and entitlement it has caused in the citizens.

No idea, don't know anyone else that has had it recently. Haven't been super careful but not careless either.

Also the spreader/s may be totally asymtomatic....that is the prob.

And it is a mess to try an unravel unless you know who and where you have been near, this is why large crowds are to be avoided, but going places like work and school etc are easier to potentially work out and contact possible effected people.

You would have been spreading it before you started feeling any effect, and as above, many feel nothing at all but are spreading it.

I tend to think there has been variations for a long time, not just the one strain.

Seems I remember early this spring that they predicted a spike this summer, really not hard to predict that would happen after states started to reopen, doesn't matter were the vaccine comes from, long as it isn't from china, really don't think Russia could find their own two front feet, we have a problem that was brought on by the same type country as Russia, irresponsible and don't care about their own people, its a little different here, bad thing that it has turned political here, alot of arm chair quarterbacks that could have done better, pretty hard to do with a unknown.
