Several gooseneck loads. Sounds fishy to me. Somebody on the inside had to have some good knowledge of the operation.

A couple of months ago there was a big group of bred heifers stolen at Aurora, Colorado. They were walked out of their pasture, moved down the road and loaded out at an arena about 4 miles away. Supposedly by a lone rider on horseback. Then the story changed to several riders. When I watched a TV station interview the owner and he said they were insured, I got pretty skeptical on the deal.

from that news story:
Witnesses told rancher Ray Wooters, who owns Wooters Heart Ranch, that they saw two people on horses moving the cattle first near East Jewell Avenue at South Powhaton Road about 9 p.m.

Wooters says he was able to follow tracks the next day as well as Friday morning and could tell the cattle then were turned west and taken under E-470.

At the time, witnesses did not know the cattle were stolen.
I suppose it might be common there, but seeing people moving cattle at 9pm would certainly raise some eyebrows around here.

Don't know where they started from or eventually ended up, but just between the 2 locations listed is 2.6 miles.

How else can you possibly get your money out of those 2014 high priced heifers. There's always a lot of fraud when things go south and your stuck trying to pay for bad investments. A fire sale is the only way out unless your a banker or stockbroker.

This has been rocking the news in Central Texas for quite a while now:

Early news reports on the Colorado heifers said the local sheriff called Wooten around 9pm and told him there were cattle being moved. He didn't go check because he thought his were far enough away it couldn't be his. That was where I got the 4 miles. Wooten said when the call came, he didn't give it much thought because of the distance.
