Thanks! I have to admit that I've been pleasantly surprised at how well they have done. I just recently had the two heifers I kept back pregnancy checked and they both took to the first round AI. One has a bull, the other has a heifer. The ones (both sexes) I kept back to feed out and sell direct are doing well. Pretty excited about what they'll look like once they get unzipped. I hope they don't under perform my expectations there. I know what they should look like if they were Angus based steaks, but I hope to bump it up a notch with the halfbloods. If I remember, I will try to find this post in a couple months and report back with some pictures...hopefully that will make your mouth water. The rest of the calves I am finishing are out of Hoover Dam and 7229. I'll try to get pics of those for comparison. Fingers crossed, but as long as they do not take me backwards, I will consider it a success for now.
