No, to turn the tractor PTO shaft so you can easily alone the splines on shaft of the piece of equipment.

I don;t ever recall one being on it. But I still have the blue one from my old Farmtrac. I hate the removable type, much prefer the hinged ones (most of the time).
 
Is it ok for some of us to tag along with this thread? I'll have to get a picture up--but I have no idea what it is--maybe someone here will.

That's a pretty good idea but I like mine better. I have a pipe wrench on every tractor. You can stick the handle in the pto to turn it and also use it to adjust the top bar on the three point under load. It also serves as a hammer when needed. Mine would not make for a very interesting name that tool thread though. :lol:
