They cut down on the doe days here this year so we been hunting in areas where everything goes. Have yall got any of that blue tongue and lost a sizable chunk of your population this year?

The next season we saw 28 different bucks and no telling how many does. In one year the difference was unbelievable. But we didn't kill any deer till the 3rd year, you can't build a deer herd up and allow people to shoot does. The fix is really simple, except that the people can't manage themselves, and the GFC won't stop hunting for a season or two because of the loss of $money.

He never jumped the fence onto our property, so I didn't shoot. I saw him for about 5 seconds before he disappeared, but he was the biggest deer that I had seen all year! I will definitely be looking for him during the 2016-2017 season. Hopefully I can take a doe or two before the extended doe season closes.

One of the hardest things in life (for a hunter) is having the ethics to pass on a big buck across the fence. Great job. Next year he will be a 12 point grossing n the mid 170s. And you will get him. (Probably not but it sounded good) more people should have ethics like you though, all jokes aside.
