Bow season

Bow season opens this weekend in Texas, my son’s grandson and a couple friends are heading out this weekend, they are as giddy as a school girl.
I was an avid bow hunter and can relate to how they are feeling and that makes me happy for them, I could use a cross bow, but the passion has left me, I like to go out and set, watch.

No one loves it more than me.
Psoriatic arthritis has taken my recurves and long bows from me.
I checked my crossbows this morning. It’s still too early for me , I will be on Rayburn Saturday.
This boy came in last night, I have couple more shots of him and some others.
Date is off and the AM PM.
They messed up my glasses prescription and I can’t hardly read anything small.

I get started about the 15th!
That’s when the bucks you will never see again are running hot and heavy.

15” pretty common here you get 17” or better that is a hoss.

I'm not much for the woods before a good frost so, no bow hunting. Hoping these fellas stick around for a little while. Time and date are off on this one too. I can see the buttons, but can't figure out how to change them.

My grandkids killed some nice bucks in Leon.
My bunch took this buck off my Coleman county place last year.

15” pretty common here you get 17” or better that is a hoss.

The last time I drew a tag I passed up several 20-22". The boss told me there was no room in the freezer so said if I can find a 25" we will have to make room for him.
