Where did the Cowbirds go?

Yea, I was probably referring to egrets. I think we used to call those cow birds around here cause they followed around the cows looking for bugs.

The cow bird everyone is talking about is the one that lays eggs in everyone elses's nests. I hadn't see any egrets around here, though. Finally saw some a couple of weeks ago.

Talked to a friend in Lakeland Georgia today. They were cutting hay the last few days and said they were everywhere. Undoubtedly, the birds moved off to areas where there were ponds with water in them. Just a guess. Baled and fluffed all day and still no birds.

Come get 'em. Hundreds of them over here. Are they edible?
