Stand your ground ...

Well I was checking fences and seen this guy hanging by my fence and they usually run when they see me and I leave them alone I guess he has heard of stand your ground and decided to coil up and face me.. I noticed that he was not all black but brownish coloring like he mixed with another snake... What he didn't realize is I was going to win this time.

I hate to kill them but I don't want to be checking a fence at night and he decides to grab my leg.

I usually leave them alone, since they eat mice and rats and I hate mice and rats, but I certainly won't hold it against anyone that feels differently.

Watched a many of the black racers stick his head out of a pocket gopher hole to see what the racket was while I was shredding.
