I was always losing knives and I found these cheap $5 plastic buck knives so bought 3 of them. 10 years later I still have 2 of them.$5 Ozark Trail. The good ones get lost, I've had this one for 4 years now.
Those little plain-jane plastic black handled ones?I was always losing knives and I found these cheap $5 plastic buck knives so bought 3 of them. 10 years later I still have 2 of them.
Looks old ?
Do they hold an edge better than the stainless Case knives?
Yes. It's hard to explain but I can feel how a knife is going to sharpen up once I run it across a stone. Even though I have some stainless knives I like, they don't feel like these do. Especially with this one, I have it shaped to how I sharpen it. A couple licks and it's shaving hair again.Do they hold an edge better than the stainless Case knives?
I'm not 100% on how old this one is.... maybe 10 yrs or so. It's my every day knife though so it's lived a rough life. I have a post on here where I lost it in the pasture for a couple days but went back to look daily until I found it.Looks old ?
I wouldn't carry that puma. I'd put it in a case. That's a great old knife and looks to be in very good condition.View attachment 26596Top is my loser knife. I lose it, not out much.
Bottom is a puma 970 game warden. It was my grandpas. It's not used for prying, scraping etc. Strictly knife work.
