We sold both calves. The solid black calf was acting a lot like his sire disposition wise and we definitely did not want to deal with that.
Kept the BWF bull through the winter, but he didn't grow out like I wanted. His dam also had been disappointing so we sold him back in the spring.
We bought another yearling registered Simmental bull. He has a good disposition and more muscle and volume than those two calves.
This is our new bull and the 2 heifer mates to the two bull calves pictured in this post.
He looks good. Long front end, smooth shoulders, good foot angle and looks like good feet. Plenty of natural muscle - without being round butted (I do not like).
