We have always been about performance, I don't know what these guys are talking about, but we have normally taken our bulls to Clemson its closer for us. About performance-- we are in the THE program in Simmental, which keeps track of an individuals performance and their calves performance throughout their reproductive life. All of our cows live in the real world as production animals and not fed with a feed bucket their whole life. These other folks are probably unaware of that and that most of the Simmental breeders in the US are show cattle only and do not take part in the Total herd Enrollment (THE) program. Even though we have never been into the showing sector and really believe those animals are substandard, we do donate a show heifer to a young person annually.

For example:
EDR U 10 (2008) is a Black PBSM cow out of Lucky Dice and 3 C Wally. She carries a red gene and has produced some really good red calves over the years. She has no Legacy bloodlines, which are show lines. Her past progeny are as follows:
Progeny Report > https://herdbook.org/simmapp/action...T&template=progenyReport&animalNumber=2424635
Her first calf was a Rookie Son that weighed in at 865 lbs at 190 days of age - he was sold post-weaning
Her second calf was a Red 3/4 Bull out of GW Predestined that was high gaining and selling red Simangus at Clemson > https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AlqspjJ7Yl4
Her 3rd calf is a young red PBSM cow out of GW Redestined 642 X and is being flushed this year to a Simbrah Bull for Genex > https://herdbook.org/simmapp/action...ntSubmit_displayAnimal=T&animalNumber=2662467
We will more than likely send those Simbrah Bulls to FL Bull test then pull them out before they sell where the best one will head to Genex and the rest come home for Private treaty sales here. These red bulls will be the highest API/ TI 3/4 SM 1/4 BR ever born (No Legacy)
Her 4th calf is a black 1/2 SM 1/2 AN bull out of GAR Selective and one of the few Selective Sons in the US Tested free of all genetic defects NHF AMF CAF DDF
https://herdbook.org/simmapp/action...plate=T&template=genetic&animalNumber=2779888
Her 5th calf has the same breeding as her 4th calf

You are welcome to come see our operation anytime.

RegCowman, you guy's are the real deal. If someone would like to see your cattle and operation, can they still stop buy? Hopefully ya'll will bring a couple of bulls to the FL bull test. I'm interested in seeing how they will perform in the real world, not just in the numbers world.

What Simbrah bull are you using?

Yes , Real Deal, BTW need too put more pics in the fun section. I like to fish but enjoy looking at cows more.

Thanks redcows. She came back dd free to and thinking really hard on red Angus. Anything you would recommend? I have sexed female Mission Statement in tank...

Haven't used him due to poor CE & CEM. Used a home-bred son of Right Kind on Sim & RA heifers this year (life got in the way of AI this time) so we'll see. I like my Right Kind females so far.

I see that but cheap sexed semen and this cow family has ce and cem bred in pretty good. Only other red Angus I have is Conquest in tank. I'll look up Right Kind.
