My wife and I made a quick trip yesterday to look at one sire group I wanted to see. I watched most of the sale online today.
The 57 were all fall born 2022 heifers ready to breed. Bred females included 87 two year olds and rest mostly 3 year olds and a few 4 to 6 year olds, all soon to calve. Also sold 4 embryo pregnancies.
Top selling bull - $31,000
Top bred - $16,000
Top open - $11,000

Those 3 were purebred simmental. This was their 18th sale. In the early years, seems like they sold mostly simangus and a few simmentals. Last 5 years or so, seems like they are producing more of the purebred simmentals than in the early years. And averaging higher on the simmentals pretty consistently.

Have always wanted to visit the NAILE and check it all out, but I guess I always skip going to it because its in the fall around hunting seasons. Have attended the Expo several times and the machinery show. Nice that ya'll got to meet.
