Anyone know of any signs of a cow that's been ridden?

My cow kind of kept her tail out a bit and arched her back a couple times. Would those be any?

Thanks- I'll try to get pictures of who she's exposed to in a couple days.

The hair on her tailhead will be roughed up. There may be dirt on her sides if it is damp in your area.

Holding her tail out a bit and arching her back would be a sign that she had been serviced.

Sometimes a saddle or bridle will leave obvious signs. :p

Thanks, when I go check them in a bit I'll look for them.

Thanks for the replies, I was almost sure, but didn't know exactly. I feel pretty good about now. ;-)

What the heck :? ??

When you only have 1 cow its kind of a crapshoot to try to get them bred since a bull for one cow is not at all reasonable. We are using a neighbour's bull for a couple of days. Just making sure she got bred since the bull won't be in there for 60+ days.

Thanks

There may also be slobbers/wet patches around her withers, or the hair may be standing up/stiff due to licking, as well. Not much of a sign by itself, but combined with holding her tail out and/or humped up, mud on her sides, and roughed up hair on the tailhead - may tell you what you need to know.
