Ford to add one of world's biggest V8 engines

Help Support CattleToday:

4:10s are standard in the 3/4 and 1 ton gas gm trucks.

4:10 are the highest I would go. By the time you add tires just a hair taller you loose a little. With the older trucks it use to be .1 per 1" of diameter of tire you increased.

My old 98 Z71 had 4:10s. Going to a 285 tire would increase by 3" so the 4:10s were actually more like 3:80s. It drove great.

My '19 F350 gas has the 4:30 gears, still doesn't pull anything like the 6.7 with 3:55 gears.
