The steering good and tight. The shop owner in town said its all warn out and loose. He grabed the tie rods, and tried to move it, nothing was loose, he tried harder as nothing moved then told me it all had to be replaced because it was so loose the tire may fall off. I just wanted to have my pads replaced.

If he has to replace the wheel bearings, tie rods, brake pad and maybe the complete brake system $1600 is not bad.

Yep I am on my third front end rebuild in 20 years . My last one was pushing 2K.
Living on a dirt road takes its toll, even if you drive sensible.
