Are you sniffing out cash(opportunities to make cash) no matter where?

Some people will sell their soul for $$$, you will know if you are one of them Fence...

Yeah i was really asking what everyone thought of the situation.but Your right ( off topic but right) . I do know about me.

I sold the hunting rights on my place to a couple of guys who offered twice the money of the previous lease holder. The old lease holder was a friend and occasional hired hand. He's not speaking to me now and sure he feels betrayed but he doesn't pay my bills or have to worry about how the farm is going to survive in the future.

This is an example of greed.

And someone who wasn't really your friend.

Yes, a little off topic perhaps but I felt like hijacking a thread and this one seemed perfect...or perhaps it was a little cryptic :p

To get to your question, why would people accuse you of being greedy? Is it because you should be "supporting your local hardworking white boy" and not Muslims or are you overcharging them or what?
These 'people' who are accusing you, who are these people? 'Accusing' is a strong word.

It would seem that you are looking for approval and validation on this subject. Only you can decide...you may loose a couple of friends along the way though or become a wealthy man :D

You rest easy I'm not overcharging anyone. .. and I'm selling to them, so they are supporting the local hardworking white boy. And in all honesty I was simply starting a coffee shop conversation. Not really looking for anything but that.
Im sure you think you have everything figured out. By the pretentious personality you constantly carry around.

Fence keep up with the good work. It is amusing what a group of people will come up with if they talk long enough. I presume the group you are selling hay to are buying livestock to slaughter. They probably do not come from the other side of the world.

Heck, I honestly have no idea who eats the beef I raise once it goes on a restaurant menu. Be a good neighbor, teach your kids right from wrong. That's pretty much the extent of what we can control in this life. Glad to hear you are making it work.

Fence, this is GREEDY

Stealing is hard work. You have to ask someone to put the boxes in your car. Then you have to list them on eBay. He is probably clearing $120k/year working for the city of New Orleans watching porn all day. You're lucky he put forth the effort to snatch 80.

I don't get too excited about stuff like this. There's people who use religion as a tool for good. Those who use it to influence over others/justify their whatever. There's folks who use religion as a tool to help them navigate the world. It depends on the person. I've met agnostics who haven't been in a church for years who are the most Christian-like people and Temple Card carrying/special undies wearing members of the Mormon Church who are the most despicable people you might ever meet. It depends on the person.

That guy was the civil servant in charge of a field hospital.

Soren Kierkegaard said the same thing about people who falsely worship the true god and those who truly worship a false god.

I think Fence nailed it. This guy was literally choking himself patting his own back for only stealing 80. He truly worships a false god.

It depends on the person??? So the action is ok for one person but not another.

No, you completely missed the point. It doesn't matter what religion someone is. There are folks who use religion as a way to justify the reasons that they discriminate, hate, rape, kill, take money from folks (Joel Osteen for one), etc. and others who use it as a tool of good. It depends on the individual person.

To answer your original question, the folks that told you not to sell to those other folks are using THEIR religion based bias as a justification for their discrimination. We sell hay. I sell hay to whomever has the cash standing in front of me. There's some I won't ever sell to again, but that's b/c I didn't like the way they treated me. Has nothing to do with how they are dressed, their religion or anything else.
