Got me a problem

Actually husband does. The back gate on the baler goes up on its own while baling. Cylinder changed on one side. Tractor ruled out as the problem

Ideas?

Had the same problem as ours.Sounds like the cylinders are just leaking by. About a 1/4 of the way into a bale, i just push the lever down to build the pressure back up. Do it again about about 3/4 of the way through. That will get you by till you get the field finished, then rebuild both cylinders.

Had the same problem with my 851. Rebuilt both hydraulic cylinders twice but didn't solve the problem. Turned out a steel hydraulic line on the left side of the baler under the twine box had a pin hole in it letting the pressure bleed off.

Thank you! I passed this info on, dunno if he got it fixed or just put the baler out to work as is. I suppose he will tell me someday

Thank you!
