I just got back from a ferel hog hunt. Didn't need any type of license or permit, just the land owners permission. No limit or restriction on method of hunting. You can pretty much kill them as the opportunity arises. You can't break the law to do it though. You can't stop on the highway...

I consider myself a rancher despite the fact that at the moment I have less than 10 heads of cattle. For me, they aren't pets, they're my business. My grandfather managed a dairy farm and considered himself a farmer. Go figure.

If my cattle acted like that, I'd never be able to get anything done. Those are some tough animals!

If these are a sample of what runs through your sales barn, I'm jealous. We get a mixed bunch and finds like that are rare. Nice calves. I like them.

I have an Angus cow that was bred to a Beefmaster. I don't know what the calf will look like, but the little guy/gal is due any time now according to the vet. I'll post some pics as soon as it arrives.

The calf looks as though my bull got to her mama, but seeing that you're in TN not TX, I guess I can't offer any help. I like the calf though.

Mongoose, The cheapest I found for just the headgate was at Tractor Supply. I think it was about $550. I'd love to know where you found one for $250?
