white crusty around the eyes

All my black Kerry cattle have white crusty areas around the eyes. One has a similar spot on her shoulder. I have had cattle all my life and I've never seen it before. Anybody have any idea what it migh be?

Yeah~ ringworm would be my guess as well, sounds classic. I just question because if you have been around cattle all your life, you should have seen ringworm by now.....?

You're right. After you told me what to look for I googled it and that's what it is. We have always had a small mostly closed herd and we've never had that before. I took them all to the vet for dehorning so I expect I caught it there. I appreciate the information!
