ive got a chance to buy some corriente cows for $50.00 a piece, or he'll pair em up 2 for a hundred.... so what breed of bull would you use on em?

You all need to share that Jack Daniels with Alacowman, and talk him out of getting those cows. Wouldn't it be better to use that pasture for a marketable cow/calf.

WOW!!

You might even twist his arm and get him to hollar "Uncle" and sell you five for $250.00! That is a real discount for volumn buying??!! Then you could use a Corriente Bull (NOT a Simmental or a Gar - or even a Double-Muscled Belgian Blue on those little Corriente cows!). That way you could develop your own Corriente herd with little or almost NO original Capital output, and get the feel of a real Genetic Management System - something that" Lon" is looking forward to doing immediately! This a a real opportunity for learning the ins and outs of the cattle business! Even the shipping expenses should cost less than for "normal" Beef Cattle.

WOW!!
