I have a "M" baler, but the monitor still works thank goodness. Does the complete board need to be replaced usually?

I got a neighbors kid that helps me some on the farm. He works on and builds computers. He's real sharp on electronics and likes to learn new things, he fixed my microwave 2 or 3 months back. He ask about my monitor, price, repairable,etc. Told him I don't have a clue, just heard they expensive, and no body works on them, that you've got to replace new. He said get me 2 or 3 bad ones, and I can see what makes them tick... Most people just throw the bad ones away anyway. thought lets just see what he can do.. But I' not not going to put a lot of money in the old ones, Hopeful I can get some for a little over shipping .
