Sold some culls Saturday

Sold some culls, one 13 yr old with crippled feet brought $972, a ten year old brought $1323, a ten year old with calf brought $2100 and a six year old sterile cow brought $1585. Kind of amazing, at least to us.

WOW! Where did you sell them? I have a "cull" red angus cow with a calf on her and I was planning on selling her late spring when I can get calf off of her and put some weight back on her but with that kind of price????? Calf is about 4 months and about 250 lbs?

Fort Scott Livestock Auction. We had four cows that were out of sync with the herd so sent one with the open culls with her calf so we could test the market. We will send the others next week.

What were the weights?
I saw a 2,125 lb holstein slaughter cow sell last week for 1.01 = $2,146
They say it takes a Big cow to weigh a ton! :nod:

The old crippled car brought $93.50, the sterile cow brought $1.00 and the ten year old $1.05.
