Possible sick calve from sale barn, what to do?.?.?

Help Support CattleToday:

When I used to raise Boston Terrier puppies, if we had one slow to respond we'd put a taste of whiskey on its tongue and it would bring them around.

I would think it would help a slow calf as well. Probably a tablespoon or so for a calf would help them to respond.

Was told not long ago, a good bit of beef broth, warmed up, helps get em going to.

Not supposed to feed ruminant or other animal protein to ruminants to comply with BSE regulations!
