Okay, who's the most famous person you've seen in person?

For me, saw Troy Aikman at a convenience store (within 3 ft).
saw Dolly Parton at a Western Auto (within 15 ft - before she was famous nationwide.
sat in a lecture by John Wooden (within 50 ft)
saw Nelson Rockefeller drive by with his police escort (within 100 ft)
saw Hank Aaron (he was in Right Field and I was in the upper deck)
there's others but I think you catch my drift.

Maybe we should limit this to 50 or 100 feet.

Paula Abdul at Barney's of New York in Dallas. She was having her hair cut at the same time my daughter was. I didn't recognize her at the time and neither did my daughter and I understand that Paula and my daughter had a really nice conversation.

When I came back to retrieve my daughter (I was taking care of my grandson and my niece), my daughter rushed out and told me about Paula Abdul being in the next chair (my daughter's stylist had tipped her off). I looked around, and there she was...looking at the jewelry not 10 feet away. My daughter rushed over to her and began babbling and then tried to recover by saying that my niece (her little cousin) would love to meet her. Paula was very nice about it...

Met Bob Hope during the first Gulf War, also Gen. Schwarzkopf and Gen. Powell in that same time frame. Recently, probably Hulk Hogan and Ricky Martin (wrecked his car on the road that runs by the base) and Henry Rollins (USO tour).

When Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash were living, we'd run into them often. Hard to describe how nice and genuine these folks were.

There's a bunch of Famous folk around here. They're really down to Earth.William Golden from the Oak Ridge Boys, Charlie Daniels, Leon Russell used to live down the road.Several musicians from big time Singers are our customers.

Sat with Dubya three times when he was Gubner.

Got Celeb friends now but can't disclose. I was a roady years ago. Light shows.

i passed Larry the Cable Guy going to Lincoln one day. and i got right next to the stage at a Keith Anderson concert. he was like 5 ft from me. i think thats it.

ya'll have seen some pretty cool people.

Sat next to Tony Kubek on an airplane when I was 13. For those who don't know, he played for the Yankees back in the 50's and early 60's.

Got Michael Jordan's autograph in a hotel bar when he was a rookie in the NBA.

Shook Jimmy Carter's hand when he was campaigning for president in '76.

President Ford's limo passed within 10 ft. of me in '76.

Saw Robin Williams at LA airport sometime back in the 80's. Probably within 50 or so ft.

Didn't see President Clinton, but saw Air Force One take off from the Champaign airport. Can't remember the year but was in his 2nd term. On an interesting side note, the plane that landed earlier got off the runway when taxiing and got stuck in the mud, so they flew in a backup. Found out later that the one I saw take off was the same plane that took President Kennedy's body from Dallas to Washington in '63. If I remember right, it was retired soon after.

Shook hands with Ronald Reagan on the campaign trail.

Met Chicago Bears tight end Jim Thornton in Gander Mountain and helped him pick out a compound bow.

Met Michael Jordon when I took my brother-in-law to a b-ball camp.

Met Eddie George (former Tennessee Titan) in the Nashville Airport. We were going through security at the same time.

Met Craig Morgan in the airport while he was shooting a music video early, early one morning at one of the gates / waiting areas.

Met Ted Nugent several times. Very entertaining individual. He is a friend of a friend.

Met Charlie Daniels once backstage.

Met Vince Gill in a Food Lion grocery store.

Country Music Hall of Famer and Opry legend Charlie Louvin is literally my neighbor. See him weekly since he only lives three farms down. He gets me backstage at the opry where I have met too many to list but here is a qick run down...

Porter Wagoner
Jimmy Dickens
Jim Ed Brown
The Whites
Ricky Skaggs
Restless Heart
Emerson Drive
Martina McBride
Riders in the Sky

Also met race car driver Casey Atwood when my company was sponsering his car.

Back in the 80's I played in a rock band and we opened up for L.A. Guns so I got to meet those guys.

I think there are more but my brain is tired.

Used to see Hank Williams Jr. at some of the gun shows, I've bought and traded guns with him a few times.
There's always some celebrities at the Tulsa gun show.

Sharon Stone...I didn't meet her but she petted my dog.

I owned a bloodhound who auditioned for the movie..It was being taped in Hilton Head South Carolina. I don't even remember the name of the movie, she was in a prison and alot of bloodhounds in it. The most interesting part was being on a movie set...they really do say "quiet on the set"..and it is silence...also the stars really sit in those high movie chairs with umbrella's.

The only dog that ever had an income:) Donna

Also saw John Glenn in DC..my husband was given an award by the MCAA.

That reminds me. We've got a neighbor about 1/4 mile down the road that I haven't met yet but evidently he was a member of the Crickets (as in Buddy Holly and the . . .). Someone asked me which one of the Crickets was my neighbor and I didn't know who to say. Maybe I'll meet him sometime.

I met Chris LeDoux once before he became real famous. He was playing at a small bar in Colorado Springs and after he got through playing he came over and sat with me. I bet we talked for a good hour. A few years later when he was real famous I took my oldest son to get an autograph after a concert and Chris LeDoux remembered me. :D

I met Mel Gibson at the Beartooth sale in Montana when he owned it. I also met Jane Fonda and James Cahn (spelling?) when they were making a movie here once.

Johnny Paycheck hugged my neck when I was a kid. :p

I figure stars are just people that have a different job than I do.

Mick Jagger's sister in law - does that count????

About 30 feet from Elvis at one of his last concerts.

Shook hands with all the Platters and Charley Pride.
