how much to pay

Help Support CattleToday:

I would say for a good bull atleast 2500, those 1500 dollar bulls arnt going to do you much good in my opionin we used to buy those and they didnt do a whole lot of bad but didnt do much good either, I would just spend the extra money and get something better if you can so that you can improve your herd instead of going in the opisite direction with those cheap bulls

The bull you use, is probably the best investment you ever make in your herd. If your doing terminal crosses, or breeding keepers. Pay for the epd that fits your needs best. Average bulls start at $2500 in my area. You would have to spend in excess of $4000 to get very far above average.

Seriously someone is selling bulls for $1200. A $1200 bull is 2 knife slits from being an $1800 steer.
