We added our Brahman cross cattle to the AI program this year and it's been interesting to say the least. I've developed an apprehensive feeling of "okay, what will it be this time" every time I lube up my hand. You Northern guys don't know how nice you have it.

I have never AI-d any Brahmans, but I have AI-d herefords and all the dairy breeds. Some of those really big old friesian cows also had me guessing. The biggest variety of cervix size and shape I've come across was in friesians (with little or no holstein influence).

Give me a jersey heifer any day over a 7-10 year old friesian cow.
