I'm afraid we'll just have to agree to disagree. I sincerely think because the genetic interval is so large in cattle, and the accuracy of epd's is low in the case of most breeding stock I am persuaded that if you know what the target is you are breeding for you can get there more quickly using actual data along with a professional stockmans eye. I think that epd's have become a placebo. You think you are fixing the problem however it is only sugar. In relation to this 6 page discussion the consumer wants well marbled beef not an epd or genestar. Whatever works for you is fine.
