Heard some life insurance policies have an exclusion for pandemics and will not pay if you die from COVID. Maybe somebody knows more about this.

Dread disease riders on life insurance policies only cover the conditions they specify, so unless a viral disease like COVID-19 is listed, the rider is not likely to affect benefits. I know that it is a PIA, but always read the Policy before you buy it to make sure what it does and does not cover. Read the Policy Exclusions carefully. Normally dread disease riders add to benefits, not take them away.

With that said, if "Pandemics" are listed under the exclusions (which is highly unlikely for policies in effect before last year) then they may deny coverage.
