Funeral Customs

I've always heard a funeral is for the family of the deceased this never made any sense to me. Personally I like the celebration of life type of funeral, even though those words don't really seam to fit together.

We had both for mom. Not that we deliberately neglected dad. The celebration of life for mom was about 3 months after the funeral. Mom was always happy and pleasant right up to the end at 93. We knew she would want everyone to be happy and laugh.

I used to think I wanted to be buried upside down so the world could kiss my azz. Now I want to be turned to ashes and have my ashes committed to the deep where I did it for my nephew and my brother did it for my other brother.
