My great uncle passed these on to me. He was a fair sized man,270,and 6'3" tall. He was well thought of in this area. He worked in the oil field in the first Texas oil boom. By the time I came along he was running mother cows and had bull dozers. He never had children so in summers I lived with him. He taught me to weld ,plow and work on tractors,Main thing was work hard.
He developed these rules . Rule number one. If you dont recognize it ,Dont put it in your mouth.
Number two. If the motor quits ,get out and walk. If you cant get out and walk when motor quits ,dont get in it.
Number three. Climb no higher than you can jump flat footed.
Number four. Never argue with a woman.

I saw him break number four several times.

He is long gone now,But I still remember these rules.

I always figured there was just one rule to a long life.................Don;t die
