I pulled up to the vet clinic Tuesday afternoon just in time to see a big Longhorn steer run past my truck. There were several men behind him in the back of a truck pulling a trailer. One of them finally roped him and tied him off to the trailer before he got onto the road. I assumed someone had neglected to close a gate, but they said he'd jumped out of pen that's about 10' square and 5-1/2' tall.

I am not surprised him getting out of the pen as I am someone on foot roping him. By the time all the above has transpired they usually look like a deer heading for the first thicket.
