Please give me some info about the Corriente. We are learning a lot about oxen and are looking for something to use that is not huge like a Devon etc... How big are corriente? Are the cows good milkers? What is their temperament? How do they deal with cold?

Corriente may end up with too much horn to work well in a normal sized yoke.

You might want to think about Dexter or miniature Herefords, or a little bigger, Milking Shorthorn (my favorite).

Try looking at a Jersey for an ox. They are a smaller breed, great milkers and very easy to handle. Eat anything ( I think that where some of my fence posts have gone).
