Anyone else find the popup ads in the upper corner offensive

Help Support CattleToday:

This is a ridiculous thing to spend time on but here is a screen shot of what I see on this board, in addition to the protein mixes, att, cattlemax, and asian women ads. I do not play computer games nor browse this stuff but I did cleared my cache, cookies, history etc and still this is what I see as one of the cycling ads in the upper right. It evidently is a computer game. I snapped a picture of it as it rotated through.

This is uncalled for and a reason not to use this site.

If I was paying a lot of money to have the Angus Report on the left I don't think I'd want my brand associated with the trash on the right at the same time.

I have other things to do with my time than mess with this stuff.

I agree SRBeef! I don't get that one on my screen......Still Yogurt, and some breast cancer awareness. (Clean ones!)
Strange!

Dam SRBeef just how high is that horse of yours. It's some boobs and you can only see them for a second till you scroll down to the most recent post. It ain't like the bobbie cooties are gonna jump out of the screen and bite you.

Lighten up bro!

Doing a little research, if I logout of this forum and come back in all I get are the yogurt and other "clean" ads.

As soon as I log back in the offensive ads start.

So what that tells me is that the ad system is using profile information from this website to target ads. Probably gender, age and who knows what else. It is not using information from my computer.

I don't care for this at all.

It is fascinating to me that our culture can train a guy to believe that boobs are 'dirty' and offensive and dangerous to children.

Wonder what happens to children in all those cultures that run around topless. Are they all mentally deranged, or what?

What causes more problems, the boobs, or the boobaphobia?

By the way, my wife was just watching a show on CBS, which is likely to be seen by children. In it they opened up a barrel and showed a headless corpse. My wife sees no problem with that, but would recoil in horror if a woman's nipple was showing. All sorts of violence and blood on TV now. Which is more likely to traumatize a child - seeing a nipple, or seeing someone's brains blown out? Weren't children once breastfed?

Since we have established that we really don't care about the children, one must conclude the real issue is people being insecure about their bodies and not wanting better ones to be seen. Eliminate the competition. And train men that to view such is dirty.

Brilliant strategy. Took me years to figure out what was really going on.

And the reason you and the other women on this site do not get the asian women and cartoon boob game ads are the ad system has picked up your gender and maybe age from your profile on this site and targeted "women's" ads to you and eliminated the sex ads.

I set my profile to "who cares" and so far after clicking onto 30 different topics and pages I still get the same only new one was a Toyota add. Will keep this on for a while to see if it changes to the "boob" adds.

The only add I have seen that offended me was the date a cougar add. All of the ladies in the add were considerably younger than me. Now that's offensive.

   I know what you mean, I'm getting to the age that I'm too old for cougars.

Jim, I agree, lighten up a bit, everyone on this planet was born with a pair of boobs, it's no big deal. No need to turn them into something dirty, it's not like they are bare breasts ...... It's a game. BTW I do love Laura Croft!

The only ads I get is tractors, grocery stores, cattlemax ......

I'm not even going to ask what that might be.

I feel discriminated against cause all I get is food, gun and insurance ads.

I rarely even notice what they are so today I made a point of checking. Lincoln, Christie, Cattle Max, that's it so far

The picture that SRBeef posted is one of the milder ones, that's no more than a beach bikini shot. Some have 'cartoon' characters shoving their inflated boobs or turning doggie style and waving their buttocks front and center.
I've got a 14 year old boy around, that's why I googled the book I did. I also have granddaughters from 4 to 13 walking by my computer at different times. I don't want them thinking that behavior, even in a cartoon, is acceptable. These ads are not just 'boobie shots', these are on the edge of pornography with the sexual positions.

Someone message me when they're gone. I'll get an email alert that I have a message.

Bye

It's no great conspiracy. The sites cookies are tracking the pages you go to. Since you posted a screen shot of the offensive ad, and boobs are mentioned on the page, that's what you're going to see. And now even more of it. That's also why 3way got the ad, when he never had before. Delete the site cookies, then delete cookies and browsing history in your computer settings, then log back in and don't come back to this page again. They should go away for a while.
