    EAR INFECTION?

    we will be using meds in milk. we use neomycin,terramycin,lincomycin,polymycin at differt intervals until weaned.     Time between herds????

    Raising quanity bucket calves. Leaving 10 days between herds. Is this enough time between herds for health reasons? We use lime on the ground and spray everything else down with annihilator. Having trouble with some mortality and wondering if this could be the problem. Thanks, Hillside

    Scours???

    Going to try something new for scouring. 100cc of kao pectin per feeding (just for scouring calves) also, will be feeding electrolytes. Has anyone else ever tried this? Basically let them scour but coat with kao pectin. Hillside

    HOOP BARN PROBLEMS

    Not able to put a ridge vent because it is material and you can't cut the material. If I had to do all over again there would be a vent up there. As for structural support, the ends do not support building. I am probably going to cut these ends out if no other suggestions. Hillside

    Thanks for feed back. We do always give shots in neck. we use 18 gauge 1 inch for subq and im. Are currently using 16g 1/2" for vacines. I Work off farm but we also raise 140 bucket calves at a time. We give 7 different vaccines over a period of time. By the time we feed twice a day ,bed ,etc...

    just wondering. when we vacinate bucket calves. do we have to inject under the skin or can we get by with 1/2 inch needles . have been toldthat we can do this because vacine isn't going deep enough in musle.Using the half inch needle makes for a faster jobbut is it to hard on calf. Hillside :?:
