    Probably drinking too fast- check the splits in the nipple. They may be too big, or try another nipple.

    Thanks. I have Brown Swiss so I'm quite familiar with stupidity in newborns. It'll catch on. Twice a day is okay depending on length of time spent suckling.

    My wife, a vet (albeit SA), just looked at your pictures and totally agrees with Ken. Says penis may not be damaged, so don't give up hope. She says have vet look at it and suggests a series of therapy laser treatments to speed healing. Craig
