Our VFD has ordered a Ford F750 with a Cummins/Allison EVS powertrain. This will be a Tanker truck,1200 Gallon. Anyone have any experiance with this combo ? I know this is not your run of the mill farm truck but thought some of you might have some fleet experiance.

If you were going to have one of your young bulls butchered ,at what age/weight would you have it done ? Would it have to be castrated or would a intact animal be ok ? Thinking about filling the freezer.

Went on a large knee high grass fire today in 45 mph winds,was NO fun. Caused by a guy who parked his pickup in high dead grass in his pasture. Yup the converter on his truck lit it up. Please be careful.

I am going to put in some rye grass soon and would like some suggestions on how yall would plant it. I have been told disc the ground first then broadcast seed and have been told to spread the seed first then disc. What do you say?

Helped a buddy take three loads to the sale barn today and stayed to watch the auction. Sure wish I had some grass. :( Two,three and four year old heavy bred great looking Brangus and Angus cows were selling for $300 - $600 :shock: . But then if I had grass so would everyone else around here...

Tomorrow 17 pregnant cows and 14 calfs go to the sale barn. Keeping 1 Angus cow 1 Angus bull and 1 Angus bull calf.All three registered. No grass left and the cattle are losing weight. Hate to do it but better times will come. :cboy:

Went on a medical call today,tractor roll over No ROP No seatbelt. Rancher was dead when we arrived on scene. Died from crushed skull when the tractor landed on him. Please wear your seat belt and make sure you have and use your ROP device. :(

Had a calf born yesterday,longhorn/char mix heifer calf. She has a knee joint on her front leg that is larger than the other side and seems to favor,not really a limp. Anything to worry about? She walks otherwise fine and made an attempt at running when only a few hours old.Seems in great health.

Anyone know what the song was?
