Had a calf born yesterday,longhorn/char mix heifer calf. She has a knee joint on her front leg that is larger than the other side and seems to favor,not really a limp. Anything to worry about? She walks otherwise fine and made an attempt at running when only a few hours old.Seems in great health.
 
This may be a dumb question but the calfs knee was like this at birth so why would it be an infected navel or a knee infection? Wouldn't an infection of either occur after birth or can a calf be born with these infections?
