I had an Aunt that always made Rasin Pie, but the one I have never tried is "Vinegar Pie." They used to advertise it at a restaurant on top of the mountain between Graninger and Claiborne Counties.

I’ve heard of both but never have tried or seen to my recollection.
My paternal grandmother made a lot of mincemeat pies which had a lot of raisins in them, I wonder if that’s similar.
Probably one of my favorite pies is one that my mother got a recipe from some friends from the eastern KY mountains called a burnt sugar (caramel) pie.
My maternal grandmother made butterscotch pies every once in a while.
My grandmother was known for her Butterscotch pie. What I remember about the rasin pie is that it was so rich, you could only eat a few bites.
