Been working on repairing some broken wooden planks up at our corral. Well there were a couple that were a tad too long to fit.
So I ran several extension cords from the corral to the shop nearby. There was an extension cord right by the door so I just plugged into it without a thought and cut my boards.
I could smell something burning while I was cutting, thought I had a dull blade.
Nope.
I found the extension cord that my FIL had wired into a 220 outlet. I fried the skil saw, but luckily not myself. I am hopping mad that he had adapted a 110 plug to a 220 current. :devil2:
Hubby told me this after the fact. He went to town and got a new skil saw.
