well pump float wiring

i ordered a sje pumpmaster pump float and i have a 220 shallow well jet pump. do i just wire it right to my pump switch? the way i read instructions you hook the white wire from the float to the hot wire on the line side and black wire from float to hot wire on load side, is this correct?

With 220V both wires are hot, Neutral is only applicable to a 110V system. So it doesn't really matter which one you pick, as long as it's in series with the pump.
