Just started to think about ordering some semen for spring breeding. I'm thinking on the Chisum bull and or Cole creek black cedar. And I like the Cedar Ridge bull. Wondering which will produce some good steers but more important make me some good replacement heifers. My herd has quite a bit 004 in there bloodlines.

That genex Chism bull sure does look promising, I think. I was looking at J. Edgar Hoover for making replacement heifers for me. He's got deep bloodlines, with several popular bulls I'm familiar with.

I personally like the genetics that Chisum throws into the mix, i.e. EPD spread. He leaves a little to be desired in looks but thats just my opinion. Depending on look of calf you will probably do ok with either. From the few calves I have seen Pioneer is trowing some nice babies as well.

I like both bulls quite a bit as well. The only thing that I don't like on Chisum is he looks a bit sloppy on his front end. But I've heard good things about his calves.
