We get it, pretty much anything Chris Stapleton! Great choice, love him.
You an Isbell (or Allman) fan? Listen to this all the way through:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACKE6V5igVU

Really good. Thanks for turning me on to buying more music ;-)

He's an excellent songwriter--better than Stapleton even. Here's a slower one (the excellent fiddler is his wife, Amanda Shires): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NaUCDqWzy1ks
Alabama boy, co-fronted the Drive By Truckers until they threw him our due to alcohol. He sobered up and has been on a tear ever since. His great album "Southeastern" he wrote just as he was home from rehab. Since, has put out a great live album "Live from Alabama" and a new studio album just out. He's touring the south Sept-Oct: http://www.jasonisbell.com/
He puts on an amazing show, was ranked as one of the best live performers currently working by Rolling Stone mag.

Been listening to a lot of Sturgill Simpson lately.
Like this one a lot:

and the steel and guitar work on the album cut of it is great, too.

This week, though, been searching out all the Clarence White stuff I can find.

Love me some Sturgill. Here's my favorite: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gBV-Nzq7Pg

I don't think I've posted this before but if I have, go watch it again, I do! :D

(Heart's tribute to the mighty Zep, playing Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center Honors. Robert Plant seems to get something in his eye. At about minute 4, catch Yo Yo Ma rocking out in the audience. Jason Bonham on drums, doing his late dad proud).
This may be my favorite cover ever done by anyone. Apparently Heart is big Zep fans and have played them for years.
Ann Wilson still in fine voice and Nancy's guitar work ain't shabby.

My old coworker said he went to high school with them, and could have been their drummer had he not been as much of a party animal and been serious about it!
I always thought a tribute band to Led Zeppelin should be named Helium Anchor :p...
One of my favourite bands is Collective Soul.. and the tribute band name? gotta be Protective Sole :p

Here's a video I made as a tribute to a friend of mine who was a phenomenal musician, played with/for an enormous number of great musicians, though had limited popular success (Best known for "The rodeo song"). I recorded these in a bar where he played on Wednesday nights, I'd pack my recording gear to two colleges I was attending to go there after.. I'm actually pretty darned impressed with the quality!
