that three different contractors since Memorial Day would tear up our gates/fences?
The day after Memorial Day, the guys from the water well company hit a gate post when the master cylinder went out on their work truck. In August, a communication contractor broke a couple of wires on our front fence while prepping for fiber optic. Yesterday our dozer guy "bumped" a gate post bringing in an excavator.

The first two have been fixed. Yesterday's "incident" was patched yesterday and will be repaired soon.
Hopefully, no more fence/gate accidents!

Gotta love contractors, oil well pumpers/workers, gas company, electric company, etc.

This was the front gate to the east 80 after a tanker incident. They did replace it a few days later but it was a combo of yard art and a reminder to the driver(s) what NOT to do for probably a year before we hauled it off.

I sympathize with the dozer guy. It is often difficult getting big machinery and long loads through rural gateways.

That's exactly what we did. Ran over with the track loader and now using it as part of the alley to the chute in the barn.

It's ironic that this gate is the easiest to use; you just ease off the side of the road on to a gravel drive to the gate - no turns , angles , etc. just drift to the right off the road. He's done our dozer work for over 20 years and this is first time he's hit a gate.He's been through that gate multiple times; he just misjudged.....which we've all done a time or two . He was pretty upset when he called to let us know. I told him crap happens and to stop beating himself up about it.
