Warts on Neighbors Cows

A Couple of the neighbors cows have warts.. They share the same fenceline as my heifers and are often seen walking and grazing along the fence together. I was told that this is very common in weanlings and young heifers.. Is there anything i can do to prevent my heifers from catching it? They look like they are only on a few and around the neck area behind the ears.

Don't look and don't worry about it. They don't hang around long.

There is a vaccine. But you are better off just letting them get it over with. Kind of like kids and chicken pox!

Nothing to worry about, and I sure wouldn't cull anything based solely on warts.

Some of them look gross. Big grey bumps...

Warts aren't pretty. But they do go away. Unless you have show cattle, I wouldn't worry about it. And yes, they may "catch" the warts from the neighbors.
